Intel develops brand new logos for chips

CHIP GIANT Intel is to introduce a whole new breed of logos for when it launches its Napa and other processors in the New Year.

X-86 Secret has a whole page full of the logos, but you’ll be relieved to hear the Intel swish is still there, although slighly different. Intel’s Yonah will be called Core Solo and Core Duo which sound a little like toffee apples, but it’s not just Yonah which will see the changes.

The new logos for Itaniums and the rest have a very rounded look at the top, which makes them look less threatening than the familiar rectangles. Very New Age. Very 21st century.

You can find the story and the logos by clicking here. Yes, this really is marchitecture as we define it.
